Pavel Oteldonov: Hometown

An exhibition of large-scale canvas by artist Pavel Otdelnov, after protesting Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Otdelnov moved to London with his family in 2022 and in HOMETOWN, we dive deep into his experiences as Otdelnov casts an exile's jaded eye on his birthplace.

Special Event: Artist Talk

During Hometown, we will be presenting a special talk with Svetlana Stephenson, Professor of Sociology at London Metropolitan University and the acclaimed author of Gangs of Russia, from the Streets to the Corridors of Power.In this unique talk Pavel and Svetlana aim to discuss the notorious gangs of Dzerzhinsk, why these gangs were so common, their unique nature and how their ethos pervaded society and led many of them to become influential and notable politicians.
